Specifically tailored to athletes—and yes, if you do any sport at any level, you are an athlete!—this course won’t just teach you how to develop a narrative arc for your memoir or novel, it will help you gain clarity in your athletic life. Whether you approach it like journaling on (legal) steroids as a way to get to know yourself better and improve your relationship with sport, are ready to share that memoir or novel with the world, or you’re trying to improve your ability to craft captions and give authentic interviews that attract sponsors and fans as a pro athlete, this eight-module course will help you cross the finish line.
You’ll learn how to craft the story of your athletics in a way that cuts to the “why” and connects with readers. Each week, you’ll talk with other writer/athletes, workshop your ideas and your drafts, and finally break through those blocks. You’ll gain insights into yourself as well as the publishing world, and at the end of the course, you’ll be on your way to confidently sharing your story.
